Michaelis Primary School – Farewell to Frau Lütge

Pupils and staff at Michaelis School say goodbye to a remarkable teacher, wishing her well on her new adventure.

THE LAST day of school was quite a sombre affair at Michaelis.

The usual excitement and jovial laughter heard from the children seemed to be lacking.

The reason being that it was their beloved Frau Lütge’s last day!

Elke has been a teacher at Michaelis for a mere three years, but the impact she has made in this time is truly remarkable.

Her dedication and commitment are clearly visible in the students’ faces, as they find it extremely hard to say goodbye.

A farewell was planned, complete with cupcakes, rose petals, song and speeches.

Her sunny personality, kind heart and readiness to jump in wherever needed will be sorely missed by the staff, but we are also very happy for her as she embarks on this next exciting chapter in her life.

On April 26 this year, Elke will be marrying her prince, Mark Engelbrecht, and in true fairytale fashion, they’ll live happily ever after.

We at Michaelis, big and small, would like to say thank you so much for all you have done and to wish you much love and happiness for the future.
