A SITE has finally been given to the founders of the Lethuthando Creche Project. According to the Manager Bright Khanyi, although the crèche was started four years ago they did not have a building in which to run it and they had to use one of the staff members’ house. During this time they approached various municipal departments looking for someone who would be able to appoint a site on which they could build the crèche. In 2011, they received R480 000 from the Zululand District Mayor Zanele kaMagwaza Msibi to fund the project. Among other things this money would pay for buying food and stationery for the children. Although the money was available to buy a site, they still struggled to obtain approval from the municipality. The Lethuthando project owners would like to thank all those who helped in making the project a success and they would like to inform the community that the crèche is open for children in all 22 wards in AbaQulusi.
