Editor – I am pleased to see that over the Easter weekend, Ladysmith was not plagued with the large number of road accidents the Ladysmith area has on a weekly basis.
I, as a concerned road-user also travelling on the road this weekend with my family, had a very safe trip on the N3 as I travelled from Ladysmith down to Durban. On a normal weekend, I get daily updates from your BBM notifications on road accidents and this weekend, I was happy to not see any bad accidents in our area.
I would also like to say a special thanks to our traffic officers and also members of N3TC who give updates on Twitter about what is going on, on the N3, so that we as road-users can know what is ahead of us on the road. It is good to know that if some major accident is ahead on the road, I can take another road and avoid the traffic delays I might have to face when I’m on my holiday.
