On another level with GroundZero

Forget the hoodies and chains, Grounzero is all about bringing something new and unique to the music industry.

Fresh, funky and fun; those three words best describe the local music production GroundZero’s artists.

These young artists have definitely left their trail where music is concerned as is evident by the rise of their fan base not only in Vryheid but in all of KwaZulu Natal.

For those who are not certain, GroundZero is in actual fact a production team that has brought forth Hip-Hop, Kwaito as well as R n B artists from all around Vryheid.

This group of artists have taken the music world by storm since their debut in 2012 and say that the response they have received from locals has been really astounding.

When recalling what their most amazing performance was, sudden laughter erupts as the group recalls how they once performed at a local club and the sound equipment failed.

“The people were singing so loud that no one noticed that we had become inaudible. It was great to see how much people actually love our music and know the lyrics to each song off by heart,” says one of the young rappers.

The group, whose songs are already making waves on radio stations such as Ukhozi and Metro fm, say that fans should be on the lookout for their next project called Final Lab which features tracks such as ‘Shibilika’ on which all GroundZero artists are featured.

Forget the hoodies and chains, GroundZero is all about bringing something new and unique to the music industry.
