Miss Newcastle 2015 will take place in March next year.

Give a brief description of what you are currently doing: I am a matriculant at St Dominic’s Academy. 

In what year did you enter Miss Newcastle? 2013

Why did you enter Miss Newcastle? After entering and competing in the pageant would you recommend that other young girls should enter?  I entered the competition to build confidence and try something new. I would recommend it to other young girls because it helps build confidence and gives them the opportunity to meet new people. Overall, it was a memorable experience.

How do you think that entering Miss Newcastle has changed your life? I made friends I will cherish forever. I have learnt things that are useful in everyday life.  My public speaking improved too.

What were some of the biggest challenges you experienced throughout the competition? My biggest challenge was talking in front of a crowd.

Do you think that some of these challenges changed into strengths by the end of the competition? Yes, my public speaking improved greatly.

What was the most memorable part  of competing in Miss Newcastle? Raising funds for the rhino fund and getting to know my competitors was the most memorable part of Miss Newcastle for me. The fashion show was memorable too!

What have you gained from taking part in the competition? How do you think this will benefit you going forward? The experience taught me to be confident; this helps when meeting new people. I am certain the experience will benefit me in future.
