Pirates board Paruks

Loyal customers met Orlando Pirates captain, Lucky Lekgwathi and winger, Tlou Segolela, during their first ever visit to Newcastle.

It is not everyday a person has the opportunity to meet their favourite sports stars.

Paruk’s Hardware gave Orlando Pirates’ fans this opportunity when the business celebrated its second anniversary under new ownership on October 4.

Loyal customers met Orlando Pirates captain, Lucky Lekgwathi and winger, Tlou Segolela, during their first ever visit to Newcastle.

Orlando Pirates’ public relations officer, Mickey Modisane promised it would not be the team’s last visit to Newcastle.

“Seeing the appreciation of the fans and knowing the expectations they are carrying boosts the morale of the players. We are in the process of creating a branch for our supporters in the area,” he said.

This is good news for Pirates fans, as the proposed launch of the fan branch is set for December this year.

“With the branch, fans can win tickets to games, follow the clubs movements and even arrange to have the club play friendly games against other local clubs,” continued Mr Modisane.

The branch will also afford local talented soccer players with the possibility of being scouted by the club.

Paruk’s Hardware continued in the spirit of giving opportunities to their customers, by having give-away of prizes worth more than R40 000, which included TVs, braai-stands and more.
