Tragic crash claims four lives

A horrific accident along the N11 earlier this afternoon claimed the lives of four people.

It is believed that two bakkies, a Corsa and a Toyota Hilux, were travelling towards Ladysmith when the collision happened, forcing one of the bakkies off the road.

At this stage, the exact cause of the accident is not known.

A well known businessman and his 18-year-old son (travelling in the Corsa) were killed, along with a worker at their business. The driver of the Toyota also died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Three people were trapped in the wreckage and the jaws of life had to be used to free the bodies.
