Tip-off nets housebreaking suspects

The two were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property

A tip-off led to two men, aged 23 and 28, being arrested for possession of suspected stolen property yesterday morning (Tuesday).

The two men were traced and arrested by intelligence operatives after they received a tip-off that stolen property was going to be sold at the taxi rank.

The suspects made their way to the rank, where they attempted to hide the property, but were detected while still on their way to the ‘hiding spot’. The two were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property. The property was later linked to a housebreaking in Reservoir Road, where the complainant in the case was totally unaware of his loss until he was contacted by police.

The suspects are set to appear in court soon.
