Malnourished dog removed from home in Steadville

The fate of the famished and skeletal dog does not look good

A malnourished dog in very poor health was removed from its home in Steadville by the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) earlier today (Friday).

The dog was chained up, together with two other dogs. The other two dogs appear to be in better health.

The dog that was confiscated by the AACL was famished and skeletal.

Annamarie Koen from the league said she is upset about the fact that people think it’s okay to let their dogs suffer like that. “It’s a pet and is supposed to be looked after, cared for and loved by its owners. How can people do this to a living creature? It’s just so disheartening,” she said.

The fate of the dog remains unknown at this stage, but Annamarie says it doesn’t look too good for the little fellow. “We are going to consult the owner before we make a final decision on whether we will put the dog down or not, but this is a strong possibility,” she added.
