A two-day search for the body of a Ladysmith dentist ended this afternoon (Monday) when police divers recovered Dr MQ Khan’s body from a lake at the Drakensberg Sun Hotel.

Dr Khan drowned after he capsized from a canoe he was in on Sunday. A teenager who was with him at the time was rescued.

The search for the dentist’s body was abandoned yesterday after inclement weather prevailed.

This morning, divers led by Captain Jack Haskins of the K9 Search and Rescue, resumed the search.
