Water restrictions not over

Yes, Ladysmith has had some nice rain over the last few days, but this does not mean that water restrictions are over.

Owing to the prolonged dry spell Ladysmith has been facing, the Klip River has dried up considerably.

According to uThukela, the rain we had over the weekend will not end the water restrictions, as it was not nearly enough.

A lot of rain is required in the catchment area in order to flush out the system.

Water restrictions will continue until further notice.
