Goat trapped between two walls

The fully-grown goat was stuck for over five hours in a 15-centimetre space between the two walls with no water or food

A goat was rescued after being found trapped between a house and a precast wall in Cleome Crescent on Wednesday last week.

The fully-grown goat was stuck for over five hours in a 15-centimetre space between the two walls with no water or food. Neighbours heard the animal’s pitiful cries and phoned for help.

Firefighters and Sharaj Ambulance Services responded and freed the goat from its claustrophobic prison. The space between the two walls was literally less than a ruler length. The firefighters and medics did an excellent job of helping the goat out.

The uninjured animal was held down and given water so it could regain its strength and calm down after spending many hours struggling in vain.
It turns out that the stray goat somehow managed to get itself stuck in the small space between the house and the boundary wall.

The owners of the property did not know the goat was stuck there at the time.
