Local bowlers play ‘international’

Six ladies and six men from the KZNCB Open team were very privileged to be invited to play against the Malaysian international team at The Nest recently.

The Northerns Inter-zone teams, consisting of four ladies’ teams and four men’s teams, were selected in Vryheid last weekend.

Players selected from Dundee were Dougie Slabbert, Nan Roos, Hannelie Arndt, Sylvia Malan, Essie Slabbert and Lyn Dippenaar (reserve).
The club congratulates them and wishes them good bowling at the Inter-zone in Empangeni at the end of May. This competition is between the three zones in the KCNCB: Midlands, Zululand and Northerns.

Played on first-class greens, they produced extremely good bowls. The results were excellent, with the local ladies winning four out of the eight games played! Enter your team in the Slabbert/Arndt Any Pairs sponsored competition on June 14.
It is important to support other clubs, as we would like them to support us!
