Remote-controlled aircraft take to the skies

The 'flyers' competed in three categories, namely Basic Sportsman, Intermediate and Unlimited

The KZN Large Scale Aerobatics competition took place on Sunday along the N11.

Young and old got together to show off their flying skills with remote-controlled aircraft, making the judges’ decision difficult in announcing a winner.

The ‘flyers’ competed in three categories, namely Basic Sportsman, Intermediate and Unlimited.

These competitions are held throughout the year and take place in different towns throughout South Africa.

The day was enjoyed by both competitors and spectators as the brightly-coloured planes dived and swooped through the air in an attempt to dazzle the judges.
