Andrew Maitre from Round Table 74, which hosted the Wagendrift Challenge, says it was a “wonderful day”.
“The participants really enjoyed the event, especially being at the dam, saying it was a lovely place and requested that we punt the camping facilities. There was great participation from a few of the local schools. The 20km mountain bike riders thoroughly enjoyed the route, which goes through game reserves and bushveldt. Those who competed in the trail run also said it was excellent,” commented Mr Maitre. Once the competition was over, participants and their families relaxed at the dam.
