Burglars arrested after robbing butchery

The suspects will appear in court soon, facing charges related to business burglary

Four suspects have been arrested after a local butchery was broken into during the course of Monday night, June 10.

The burglars got away with cash registers and a small amount of money. The incident was reported to police the following morning.

Ladysmith Crime Intelligence officers immediately began to secure information concerning the incident.

Later that day, they were successful in gathering helpful information regarding the case, and called on the Ladysmith Tactical Response Team and Ladysmith Detective Services for assistance.

The three groups descended on the Ladysmith CBD, where four suspects (aged between 21 and 27 years of age) were taken into custody. One cash register and a bolt cutter were recovered during the arrests.

The suspects will appear in court soon, facing charges related to business burglary.
