Supporting laziness will promote job losses

Do not be an armchair critic – go out and advise the workers to be serious about their work responsibilities, in this way you will save their jobs

With reference to the letter entitled ‘Rich men, stop insulting poor people (Estcourt News, May 5), may I share some thoughts with Bongumusa?
Yes, rich we are in terms of goodness of heart and to assist where possible.
It has been our wish that the workers mentioned be given long term jobs. To qualify they need to be productive and deliver the goods. No employer (in this case the municipality) will hire those who will not work.
Bongumusa is doing just the opposite – supporting laziness, the workers will lose their job.
Do not be an armchair critic – go out and advise the workers to be serious about their work responsibilities, in this way you will save their jobs.
For Bongumusa’s information since the appearance of the letters, our workers have become more productive. Have we then not saved their jobs?
