The school is enormously proud of the 18 Drakies who have qualified to take part in the second round of the annual Harmony Mathematics Olympiad

Drakensberg Boys Choir School senior boys were encouraged to tackle the National Mathematics Olympiad and almost 50 took part.
The school is enormously proud of the 18 Drakies who have qualified to take part in the second round of the annual Harmony Mathematics Olympiad.
Three of the boys are in grade nine: Adrian Schober, Ross van Rooyen and Thomas Clarke. Seven of the boys are in grade eight: Jacob Chidawaya, Liam Dixon, Grant Hiscock, Luca Crouse, Jean-Daniel Joubert, Alastair Scobbie and Daryl Kwaramba.
The grade seven boys took on the challenge of writing the same paper as their grade eight peers and eight of them qualified.
These young mathletes are Gerhard Joubert, Gabriel Drew, Lengana Mashapu, Aidan Nordin, Gustav Klingbiel, Janthe van der Sandt, Johan Piek and Tau Khaile.
