Money down the drain

You would get some positive response if we, the taxpayers, saw our money well managed, well employed and some one held accountable

I have also been watching the “gutter clean up” operation in town with frustration, and understand the frustrations of “Sick and Tired’s” letter.
The point that the Municipal Manager misses is that no matter how much money is budgeted, if it is poorly managed, supervised and administered, like having ten people standing around one spade, dancing to their cell phone music, as I have observed, the job will never get done and the funds will have little impact.
In the real world you would task such work, (i.e.: give each person a set distance to clean in a day).
But then again if you have not had to earn the money yourself and can simply apply for more funds from the Golden Goose, does it matter to you?
Who is or was in charge of these clean up groups or are they just left to their own means. You would get some positive response if we, the taxpayers, saw our money well managed, well employed and some one held accountable.
