Von West rocks at church dinner
After dinner was served, the band Von West got up on stage and 'rocked out'
The Ladysmith NG Kerk congregation was at Platrand on Friday night for their annual ‘skaapbraai’ (sheep braai).
There was a lovely-sit down dinner in the stunningly decorated dining hall. Families and friends enjoyed drinks while the children played out on the beautiful lawn. After dinner was served, the band Von West got up on stage and ‘rocked out’.
Von West consists of Dewald Von Solms and Pieter West. Dewald was an opera singer for 16 years, but has since retired to join his cousin Pieter in making the sexy sounds of this ‘rustic rock’ band. The band has been together for two years and has released one album which sold over 12,000 copies. They are planning to release a second CD in February. They also featured in the Huisgenoot ‘Skouspel’ at Sun City, which showcases Afrikaans talent from around the country.
A great evening of relaxing and catching up with friends was had by all!
