ABH urges readers to adopt a resident

Supporters can provide a meal for our residents and a birthday cake for this resident you have adopted

The Aryan Benevolent Home (ABH) in Glencoe has introduced a new way in which the community can support its 37 residents, by joining the ‘Support a Resident’ campaign.

The home cares for aged, frail and some disabled residents, but in so doing is heavily reliant on sponsors and donors.
“Our Adopt a Resident campaign will give businesses or individuals a chance to ‘adopt’ a resident by, for instance, making their birthday special and giving the person a memorable day,” said Simla Mohabir of the ABH Board.

“Supporters can provide a meal for our residents and a birthday cake for this resident you have adopted. You can either bank the money and we will prepare for the day, or you can prepare and join the resident on this special day. We plead with you to support our campaign and make a difference in the lives of these people, some who have not heard or even seen their family in years.”
