Dannhauser’s Mahendra scoops legendary award

The awards sought to honour the top artists, celebrities and most influential men of the past year in KwaZulu-Natal

Mahendra Shamapersadh’s star continues to rise and the awards keep coming in.
The Dannhauser born artist, who is the owner of hit band Levana Sungeeth was recently honoured with a Legends Award in Durban at the Influential Men and Legends 2019 event, hosted by Big M Productions at the Durban City Hall.
The event sought to honour the top artists, celebrities and most influential men of the past year in KwaZulu-Natal.
Hailing from a small town, Mahendra said it was a big honour to receive such an acclaimed award: “It’s a huge achievement for me to receive this award. It is a blessing from the Almighty and as an artist coming from a small town, it means so much more.”


Mahendra thanked Dharam Maharaj, a living legend himself, plus his mother, wife and family for always supporting him.
Mahendra also thanked Levana Sungeeth band members, Shaveer, Shilesh, Jithen, Kishore, Shane, Keshav and his five-year-old daughter Levana for all their support.
