Municipality awards top Endumeni matriculants
Endumeni Circuit was mentioned as being fourth out of 16 districts in terms of rankings.
The inaugural Mayoral Matric Awards was hosted by Endumeni Municipality at the Moth Hall recently. At the event, the successes of top 10 achievers were celebrated by municipal officials including Mayor, Sduzudo Mdluli.
He congratulated all the awardees on their excellent achievements: “We wish you all the best from here and we hope that soon you will contribute to the economic growth of the country. As you step out into the world, please don’t give up and don’t succumb to university pressures of living the fast life. Don’t drop out and become yet another statistic. As a municipality, we have a programme checking your academic progress as you go into universities and will further assist you with internships when you are done with your courses.”
Mayor Mdluli added that learners had set the benchmark for the Class of 2020.
