Ichthus gets an exciting start to 2020

Ichthus welcomes all learners, their parents and their teachers to the school.

Last Tuesday (January 14), 17 staff members and 116 children from Grades RR to Seven arrived at school to celebrate the beginning of the new school year.

Ichthus welcomes all learners, their parents and their teachers to the school. It extended a special word of welcome to Tarryn McMillan, who will be the Grade Four and Six learning subjects teacher (part-time) and Carla Kruger, a student teacher.

A new teacher, new uniform, new shoes, new books, new friends and a new schooling environment – 14 Grade One learners are very excited to start the new year. Ichthus staff continue to work together to provide Christ-centred education, to ensure each learner reaches his or her fullest potential.

The greatest gift Ichthus can bestow upon the learners is to create an outstanding school atmosphere, where Jesus Christ is the centre of everything, which will leave an enduring impression on children’s lives and further to teach top quality academic skills.

Classes are already in full swing and the school is planning its gala on February 13. The chess, cricket, netball and hockey seasons will start during this week and the beginning of next week.

The family at Ichthus prayed everyone would have a wonderful and blessed 2020.

To God be the glory!
