Biggarsberg AC announces its top athletes
Athletes were honoured for their achievements during the year and a new committee was also elected.
After another successful year of athletics action, Biggarsberg Athletics Club (BAC) hosted its AGM recently.
Athletes were honoured for their achievements during the year and a new committee was also elected. The following awards were handed out:
Tokens – Two Oceans Novice: Ashleigh Hilliar, Charmaine Vorster, Joel Khumalo, Simakahle Khumalo, Zanele Mncube, Jeanette Boshoff, Lewis Boshoff, Philimon Zondi, Thulani Sibiya and Zwelakhe Msimang.
Tokens – Comrades Novice: Lindani Vilikazi and Simakahle Khumalo. Tokens – Comrades Green Number: Lindani Sangweni, Shane Hilliar, Zanele Nxumalo and Sipho Phungula. Tokens – Comrades Supporter: Dorea Coetzee, Sabatha Ndlovu, Siya Ngobese, Dude Mchunu, Sam Ngobese and Byron Pillay.
Comrades First Female Finisher: Thobeka Mbatha. Comrades First Male Finisher: Joel Khumalo.
Most Improved Female Runner: Sam Ngobese. Most Improved Male Runner: Pat Sibisi.
Female Runner of the Year: Ashleigh Hilliar. Male Runner of the Year: Joel Khumalo.
Team Spirit: Steve Mkhize. Legend of the Year for Commitment to the Sport: Anton Nkabini.
Chairpersons Cup for Inspiring the Chair: Reggie Nkosi.
