Storm damages schools and homes in Ntabamhlophe

No injuries have been reported

A heavy storm tore through the Ntabamhlophe area of Estcourt and parts of Bergville yesterday evening (September 19).

The storm hit at about 18:30, damaging some schools in Ntabamhlophe, including Emtshezi High School. Teaching and learning has been disturbed, but educators and pupils are doing the best they can to continue with their studies.

At Emtshezi High School, 10 classrooms and parts of the admin block were damaged.

Not only schools were damaged, but also several homes. Roofs were blown off and some community members are pleading for assistance in the aftermath of the storm.
