Church raises money by selling tasty hamburgers

It was a successful fund-raising initiative that saw lots of shoppers dipping into their pockets to satisfy their hunger pangs

Congregation members from AGS Lofdal Kerk had a burger stand outside De Francas SPAR in Francis Road on Saturday morning (September 9) as a fund-raising initiative for the church.

The aroma of sizzling hamburger patties and onions had hungry shoppers queuing up to get something tasty to nibble on.

The funds raised will go towards the maintenance of the church in order to continue preaching the Good Word and doing God’s work in the community.

“We had a good Saturday, with good sales. We appreciate SPAR for giving us the opportunity to be there, and we are looking forward to hosting our next burger stand soon,” said Pastor Ruben from AGS Lofdal Kerk.
