Petrol and diesel price goes up

Get ready for even higher prices when you fill up at the pumps

The petrol price (both 93 and 95 unleaded) has gone up by a whopping R1.71 a litre.

In addition, the price of diesel has increased by a painful R2.84 a litre today (September 6). According to the Automobile Association (AA), this is a record price hike.

Illuminating paraffin goes up by R2.78 a litre.

South African fuel prices are largely determined by international oil costs and the rand exchange rate, as oil is priced in dollars.
