Early-morning robbery in Centenary Road

No arrests have yet been made

Ladysmith detectives are investigating a case of house robbery after a 43-year-old man was robbed at his home in Centenary Road in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 23).

According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan, it is alleged that the man opened up after hearing his landlord at the door. He was surprised to find two unknown men there as well.

The two suspects proceeded to rob the victim of cash, groceries and a cellphone.

Police advise people to be wary of opening your door for anyone who knocks, especially at night.
