Residents take on road repairs

Locals take a proactive step to repair the badly damaged roads in residential areas

With an assortment of potholes ranging in size, shape and depth, some residents take a proactive stand and used their own resources to repair these gaping holes. Last week, there was evidence of this.

In Forderville’s Fourth Avenue, a group of youngsters made a decision to patch up a portion of the road. They asked for assistance with materials, and Feroz Hardware donated cement. The youngsters got together and patched up the potholes in the road.

In Richmond and Roland Hellet roads, residents were grateful for the temporary pothole repairs that were orchestrated by Mica Estcourt.

“It only takes a good heart and a few men to do good in our neighbourhood. We say thank you for fixing our roads and may other business owners across town emulate this kind gesture from Mica. Let us applaud and support this team whenever they come with even a glass of juice,” said appreciative resident Naison Goremusandu.
