Illegal dumping angers Hillside residents

Residents in the Hillside area are up in arms about the illegal dumping taking place.

This problem is not only prevalent in Hillside, but in other areas as well.

Calcutta Road seems to be the latest victim of this scourge.

A resident commented that it’s disgusting to see how people are disposing of their refuse all over the place. “When it rains, the smell is so bad that we can’t even open our windows for some fresh air!”

The general consensus is that illegal dumping is getting worse by the day in Ladysmith.

“People need to stop throwing their rubbish wherever they like. The municipality has designated days on which they come and collect, so why should one dump? If people can’t wait for the truck, they should take their garbage to the dumpsite themselves,” fumed another angry resident.
