Suspects caught with drugs
They face charges of dealing, as well as possession of illegal substances
10 men found in possession of illegal substances were arrested recently. The suspects, aged between 19 and 49, were nabbed in different parts of town.
Mandrax and heroin capsules, as well as drug paraphernalia, were found on the suspects.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan, the value of the recovered substances is estimated at R5000.
Police will continue to employ strategies to reduce the root causes of crime, such as drug abuse.
The suspects appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court last week.
