Sweet support for year-end cake sale

The Hospice volunteers thank the community for the support during the year

A year of fund-raising for the Estcourt Hospice Association volunteers ended on a sweet note on December 2 when the final cake sale for the year was held.

A table decked with decadent treats welcomed locals who stopped by the gazebo in the Methodist Church yard. With some all-time favourites and new tastes to try, the cakes, biscuits, tarts and puddings were quickly sold out.

Volunteer Belinda Smith sends her appreciation to everyone who has supported the cake sales, which are fund-raisers that help Hospice to provide palliative care to dozens of local patients.

A big thank you to each and every person who baked, gave a donation, and supported the Hospice cake sale. It once again was a huge success.

“Also, a very big thank you to Bruce, Val and Mumsie for their help, and to Angie and Arthur for sponsoring the tent,” she said.
