The two councillors were travelling in the same car

Two councillors at Alfred Duma Local Municipality escaped a shooting yesterday (Wednesday, November 23).

The two councillors, Chief Whip Cllr Sabelo Sithole and Cllr Mike Suddaby (belonging to different political parties), were on their way back from an event that was held in Umhlumayo.

According to Cllr Sithole, the occupants of a car parked at the side of the road opened fire on them as they were passing. Luckily, both of them escaped unharmed.
