Competition heats up in regional soccer league

Going into today's games, Barcelona FC leads the pack with 16 points

The competition is starting to heat up in the Nomgwenya Security Regional League.

Today (November 13) is match day seven and all the teams are playing at different sports fields across the Uthukela region.

Barcelona Football Club (FC) is leading the pack with 16 points. However, breathing down their necks in second spot is the Pieters Fast XI team on the same number of points, but just trailing on goal difference. Qhakaza is third on 14 points, so the league is wide open at the moment.

Games to look forward to today are:

Kandahar Avenue sports grounds: Qhakaza vs Isipanela at 11:00; Barcelona vs Royal Tigers at 13:00; and Happy Hearts vs Rookdale at 15:00.

Acaciavale sports grounds: Vultures vs Pieters Fast XI at 15:00.

AG Magubane Stadium: Ladysmith Watersmeet vs SS Masters at 15:00.
