Water should be restored today, says DA

The water outage is due to a strike by uThukela employees

According to Democratic Alliance (DA) Councillor Thys Janse van Rensburg, the uThukela municipal manager (MM) has confirmed that the reason why the town has been without water this morning (November 11) is due to an illegal strike by uThukela staff.

However, the situation is being monitored by the DA and they have sent a letter of demand to the MM, requesting water to be restored as soon as possible.
