Strong winds wreak havoc around Ladysmith

No injuries were reported though

A huge ‘wind storm’ caused damage to houses and other infrastructure in Ladysmith last night (October 10).

Interviewing a resident in Kandahar Avenue, he explained how the roof just flew off his house. 

The homeowner’s bathroom roof that was damaged by the heavy winds.

A light pole fell at the corner of Bengal and Kandahar Avenue, which has caused the road to be closed by Public Safety.

The road is closed due to the pole that collapsed.

Motorists travelling in this area should use alternate routes, as the pole is causing an obstruction to traffic.
