MEC’s visit concludes Public Service Month

The purpose of Public Service Month is to monitor and evaluate service delivery

The national government designated September 2022 as Public Service Month.

During this month, a week was singled out for public servants to get out of their offices and visit wards in district and local municipalities to review progress, deliver services, and deepen social and economic transformation.

The week of September 26-30 was dedicated to Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality. The main objective was monitoring and evaluation to ensure improvement of service delivery. Senior managers from all government departments met at the Wembezi Multi-Purpose Hall to be deployed to all wards and be linked to War Rooms.

On September 26, senior managers visited projects that are currently underway, with the purpose of unblocking bottlenecks that serve as impediments in the completion of these projects.
