Tavern murder suspect shot dead
He was linked to a Peacetown tavern shooting earlier this month
Murder suspect Njabulo Manqoba Mazibuko (28), also known as ‘Barabha’, was shot dead in a shoot-out with police on Friday, August 12, in Zwelisha near Ezakheni.
That Friday afternoon, Ladysmith detectives traced the suspect to this area.
Mazibuko was linked to a Peacetown tavern shooting that took place on August 6.
It is alleged that when he saw the officers, Mazibuko opened fire on them and they retaliated.

The murder suspect was fatally wounded in the ensuing shoot-out.
A pistol and ammunition was recovered from the deceased.
