Police address root causes of crime at schools

The learners were excited about Sergeant Mbatha's visit and listened attentively during the discussions

Sergeant Mbatha from Ladysmith SAPS recently visited several schools in the Ladysmith area.

The aim was to conduct social crime prevention campaigns, which is an approach that addresses the root causes of crime.

Dr Joseph Shabalala Secondary, Limit Hill Combined and Burford Primary were among the schools visited.

Sexual offences, gender-based violence, human trafficking, and the safety of women and children were among the burning issues that were discussed during the campaigns.
