Burst pipes affect water supply

Residents are encouraged to always store water in containers, as pipes can burst at any time

There is a major water pipe burst at the corner of Kandahar Avenue and Platrand Avenue, which happened last night (June 27). Residents in the area have been without water, but uThukela says that the supply should be restored today (June 28) after repairs have been carried out.

There’s another burst pipe in Mkhamba Gardens at the moment and residents say that clean drinking water is being wasted.

At the time of publishing this article, uThukela had not commented on the second leak.
