A truck overturned on the N3 at Van Reenen’s Pass this morning (June 15), effectively blocking the southbound carriageway for a period of time.
There were three people in the truck, two of whom were injured and rushed to hospital in Harrismith.
The driver is reported to have fled the scene after the crash.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes are now open, although southbound traffic is a bit slow at present.
‘Recovery’ operations are currently taking place and motorists are advised to be cautious on this route.
