Speaking after the conference, new regional chairperson Thabiso Mngadi said it was a great success.
“We never received any formal dispute and that is a sign that everything was done following the policies of the party. It has become the norm to have different camps whenever we go to elective conferences, but this was not the case at this conference. We had people competing for positions, but that was not based on factions or camps,” said Mngadi.
