Celebrating the wonders of reading

Learners recited poems, acted out dramatisations, and read in groups and independently

Muntuza Full Service School celebrated National  Library Week by hosting an event on March 23.

This was held jointly with the local community and library officials.

Of importance at this remarkable event was to motivate learners to develop the skill of reading and writing.

Library officials, during their presentation, emphasised the importance of using library facilities by primary school children at an early stage in their education.

The learners enjoyed themselves by participating in a number of activities.

They recited poems, acted out dramatisations, and read in groups and independently.

Other activities included a back-to-school campaign, World Read Aloud Day, market day, athletics and a camp for Girl Guides.
