Tom Cruise lands at Ladysmith Airfield

He will spend the day scouting out locations in the 'Berg

Excitement and anticipation filled the air as world-famous Hollywood actor Tom Cruise landed at Ladysmith Airfield this morning (March 28).

Tom Cruise is in South Africa to film a portion of his latest movie. 

Six helicopters and three planes, including a Boeing Stearman, arrived prior to his landing this morning, along with crew members.

Tom Cruise will spend the day scouting out locations in the Drakensberg to shoot scenes for the movie.  

Although cast and crew were tight-lipped about what movie they were filming, it is believed to be part of the ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise.

The 59-year-old actor greeted bystanders briefly before climbing into one of the helicopters, which he piloted himself.

The entire entourage took off from Ladysmith Airfield and headed to the ‘Berg.
