Storm causes havoc in Peacetown

About 30 houses were damaged

Heavy rainfall during a powerful storm left houses destroyed in Peacetown yesterday (Monday, March 14).

About 30 houses were damaged, some of which were completely destroyed.

Some families that were left without any shelter have been offered temporary accommodation at neighbours’ houses.

The victims are pleading for assistance from anyone who can possibly lend a helping hand.

The Disaster Management Unit from Alfred Duma Local Municipality is out in the area, providing help to the victims of the storm.
