High river causes rising flood water in CBD

Lyell Street has been closed...

The water level in the CBD between Alexandra Street and King Street is steadily rising.

Lyell Street has been closed and traffic using the N11 is being diverted up Murchison Street. The closure of Lyell Street by Public Safety has created massive traffic congestion in the CBD.
