Spate of robberies in Egerton and Observation Hill

A private school has also been hit by the robbers

Police are investigating a spate of recent robberies that have taken place in and around the Egerton and Observation Hill areas over the past few weeks.

Earlier today (February 17), a robbery took place in the Egerton area, with a gardener being attacked by the culprit.

Unknown thieves have been responsible for ransacking unoccupied houses, stealing copper piping and cables. Thieves have targeted homes where the owners are either at work or away during daylight hours. Robbers steal anything they can lay their hands on, including garden tools.

Thieves stole piping and taps from a private school, either last night or early this morning (February 17).

Police are investigating how the robbers made it through the electric fencing.
