Roads in the CBD now open after flooding

Clean-up operations are set to take place in the CBD

It is safe for motorists travelling in the CBD to once again use the roads that were closed. The flooding has subsided and roads are now open.

Speaking to officials at the scene, they said they are awaiting a team to come and carry out clean-up operations in the area. This is scheduled to take place during the day in the CBD area. 

The roads that were closed were Queen, King, Forbes, Lyell, Princess and Alexandra streets, along with Kandahar Avenue and Settlers Drive.

The above-mentioned streets are now accessible to traffic.
