Colenso water plant being rebuilt

Water is expected to be interrupted while the project is underway

uThukela is upgrading the Colenso Water Treatment Plant in Ward 25.

They hope this will improve the quality and quantity of water the plant is able to supply.

Mayoral visit

During a recent visit by uThukela Mayor Siphiwe Mazibuko, he introduced a contractor to Colenso residents.

This includes the installation of new pumps on a floating raft system, as well as refurbishment and construction of a new dosing room.

New chlorination building

The project also includes the construction of a new pump station chlorination building.

Finally, the project will see an upgrade of the electrical panel, which will bring about the full refurbishment.
